Ashtanga Yoga Mysore

Ashtanga Yoga taught in the Mysore style method is a gradual learning through one on one teaching in a group setting. The student is taught slowly at their own pace and once the beginning stages of the sequence is memorised and as strength and flexibility are developed more yoga postures are added.

This incremental building of a yoga practice with focus on synchronising the breath with movement is beneficial as the student ends up with a practice they are able to do independent of a teacher or class and is not unlike a moving meditation.

This process produces internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies the muscles and organs. The result is better circulation, vitality, a light and flexible body, strength and a calm mind.

This class is perfect for beginners and those new to Ashtanga Yoga Mysore, as well as experienced practitioners. Choose the classes you wish to attend and send us an email to let us know you’re coming.

Please arrive to start at 5:45am or 7am in the morning Mysore class for those new to Ashtanga Yoga. You will be taught at your own pace and receive individual instruction from an experienced teacher.
